Happy Birthday Julian!! *smiles*
Julian is a year old today. I can't believe it's gone by so quickly. It doesn't seem like a year ago that I was about to get out of the hospital. Damn. Whoda thunk it? *chuckles* ~Care Bear |

This conversation just happened not 5 minutes ago.....
Chazz goes outside for a cigarette and leaves the door open so he can stand there and talk to Ashleigh and I. Ashleigh: Daddy, why are you outside smoking? Chazz: Because I'm not allowed to smoke inside. Ashleigh: That's not a good enough reason. Chazz: What other reason is there? Ashleigh: What's the other reason? Me: Chazz, I don't think she's getting onto you about why you aren't inside smoking because it's windy. I think she's getting onto you because you are outside *smoking*. Ashleigh nods Chazz: Ashleigh, are you getting onto me because of my smoking? Ashleigh: Yes, Daddy. *nods more* Chazz looks at me while I'm trying not to laugh: You hush! ... Now mind you, I quit smoking more than a year ago. So I'm allowed to laugh at him. *smiles* |

Update on the kids... how big they are getting and what not
Julian is getting so big. He's 16 lbs 12 oz. I believe they alo said that he is 29 inches long, but I could be mistaken. I think that he's going to be a linebacker... or at least the size of one. *chuckles* Chazz and I sometimes joke that he's going to be one of those big gay men. And to be honest, I don't care if he does or not. I don't care if all my kids end up being gay as long as I get at least one grandchild. *chuckles* I want to be able to be a grandmother at least once. *giggles* That would be cool. Watching my grandmother and my mom be a grandmother, I want to be able to have grandkids to spoil too. *grins* Ashleigh is getting big, too. She lost two teeth the other day and she's got three more loose. She's already got two of her big teeth coming in. Gods... where am I going to get the money for this tooth fairy thing? *chuckles* Yes, my daughter still believes in the tooth fairy as well as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. It's going to stay that way for a while. I want her to be a kid. I want her to know that I love her very much and I'm going to do the same for Julian when he gets big and any other children that I may have in the future. I don't care that Jessica was still believing in Santa Claus last Christmas. She deserves to stay a kid while she can. Jessica is my 11 year old, by the way. None of this growing up too quickly with my children unless they choose to do so themselves. They will get their own choices in some matters, but I am not going to force them to do things they aren't ready for or old enough for. I'm glad my mom has the same feelings that I have on that. Jessica doesn't have to worry about growing up too quickly. I guess that's about it before I actually start on a rant about parents who aren't there for their kids as long as they should be or those parents who shatter children's imaginations when they shouldn't. I will have my own rant on that at some point and it will be in my own journal. Night folks. ~Care Bear Current Mood: creative |

Just a quick blurb on the kids before I head off to the store.... *giggles*
Well, last night I was in the kitchen washing dishes and had the CD player going. It was too cute. Ashleigh seems to like my music that I been listening to lately. I have a distinct feeling that her and Julian are probably going to be ravers. *chuckles* Not that I mind because to an extent, I am myself. I tend to like all music though even though I prefer to dance to techno and industrial myself.... Hrmm... haven't been dancing in a while.... Anyway, this is about the kids, not me. Her favorite CD of mine right now is Prodigy "Music for the Jilted Generation". I think it's too cute. She seems to like my Uberzone CD too. As far as her dancing goes, she can almost keep up with me... which has been hard to do most times. Especially now that I have the energy to keep going because I've quit smoking and keeping myself in shape lately. Sometimes she even tries to break dance too. *giggles* It's too cute to watch her spin on her back all curled in a ball. *giggles* She's even got some dances that she says she made up and has named them as well. *grins* The reason I think both the kids are going to be that way is because the quickest I have ever gotten Julian to sleep is by rocking him to Prodigy. It's too cute. *grins* I don't think he's ever been to sleep so quickly before like he does when I play Prodigy. It's just funny. Anyway... here's definitely a change of pace. Ashleigh said she wanted to look through my CDs and change the CD so that I can have the Prodigy CD for my walk to the store ... I carry a portable CD player with me so I'm not lonely on the way up... anyway, she chose one that I never thought she would even think of wanting... She's playing Therapy? Infernal Love. *giggles* I guess she just kind of likes everything and is going to be like me with eclectic taste in music. *grins* Well, time to head out and get my shower so that I can head to the store and let Ashleigh on to play her Barbie game on the computer. Talk to you all later. *hugs* ~Care Bear Current Mood: amusedCurrent Music: Therapy? - Moment of Clarity |

I'd say this is the funniest yet so far with Ashleigh....
A charmin commercial just got done playing on the television... you know the one with the bear using toilet paper out in the woods? Ashleigh: Do the bears really use toilet paper? Chazz: Yes. Ashleigh: What kind? Chazz: Charmin Ashleigh: No, no. I mean in the real world bears. Chazz: Rabbits! Here's where I start to laugh but don't let anyone see me start laughing because of the joke. I also thought this was where it was going to end... Ashleigh: Oh ok! Poof! It's brown! So I'm thinking this is where she's thought that brown bunnies came from so I started laughing... until.... Chazz: Yep! *laughs* They're brown. Ashleigh: And if all they do is pee? Poof! Yellow! I couldn't help it. I started laughing even more. I couldn't help it. Man! *shakes her head* ~Care Bear |

Here's the other one that she taught me!
Sang to the tune of the first verse of Smashmouth's song "Rockstar"... Somebody once told me The world was macaroni I took a bite out of a tree It was tastin' kind of funky So I spit it at the monkey And the monkey spit it back at me! *giggles* She's a trip. ~Care Bear |

Hey guys!
Ashleigh seems to have learned some of the cutest songs ever.... the one I am about to post the lyrics to, she learned from her grandfather. *chuckle* Peanut sittin' on a railroad track His heart was all a flutter Along came a train, the 9:15 Toot! Toot! Peanut Butter! It gave me a laugh! ~Care Bear |

Sorry there hasn't been any updates lately....
Ashleigh is doing really well now. She knows how to tie her shoes, she is reading US bedtime stories at night. A lot of things I missed going through this DHS stuff. I've been so bitter about all this it's not funny. She's being really helpful with Julian (her new little brother in case there is anyone who doesn't know) since they've been home. I'm glad I have her. She's being an artist lately. Her and Dan will sit down and color or draw together... at least they have so far today. She's really enjoying it. I may go ahead and put updates of Julian in here too as he grows and gets older instead of creating yet another LJ that I'll have to learn to keep up with. *chuckles* Ashleigh is 50 lbs... not entirely sure how tall she is now... Probably right at 3 feet. Julian is right around 12 lbs... give or take a few ounces. They are both doing well. I'm sure that she'll have some cute things to say and post in here just like Cat does with Elizabear. We'll have to see. *grins* Oh! And sometime very soon I will have a couple new pics to upload for this LJ of Ashleigh. You can find all my pics of me, Ashleigh, Julian.... even new ones of Jessica at http://photos.yahoo.com/harleyheaven69~Care Bear |

Well, update on the munchkin. She's got a loose tooth. She's so happy about that. She's gotten kind of errogant in that aspect. It's her first loose tooth. I can't wait until she looses it, honestly. She's going to be so happy and I have some change so that I can play tooth fairy when she does lose it. Granted it's the only money I have right now, but it's something. Not as much as I would like to be able to give her, but it's something to give her. She's really enjoying school and sometimes gets upset when she misses school because of being sick. She's happy with her class and her friends in her class. I don't know if anyone else's kids are like this, but she likes younger kids than her and older kids than her, but the only kids she likes that is right at her age are the ones in her class. I don't know if that's normal or not, but I don't get on her about it because she seems happy just being like that. The following is something that Ashleigh typed when I had to walk away from the keyboard for just a sec to answer the phone. I'm not exactly sure what it says, but I think her name is in there somewhere. *chuckle* eerwetwftrftrtgfhhashleigh5hghghgjhsdkjj hnyyfiheutyruytutyuytuiiweugdvfrertttttt t543yy58ui4jitjjjjjjjjkrhjuyytrrrw3oiefy rttogfkhthyltkluu, lkj,k,k,li,klllluhkitu urtygffhghgfvgfsfwqreytgeeeeeeuhrtu2u 1gutlhhhhhhjkjj,lhlnlj3 fdcdeghyghrgjthgtjghuyohyrugeijtt ihgyfurhtjhgju-fnbfnbfhbvhryusadhz=kutj6 ijuyijkhkytolykouoki Oh, I almost forgot. On the way home from school today, in the car, she thought she would teach me how to count to three in Japanese. I'm not sure where she learned it, probably at school from something, but she's really picking up on it. The only reason I do know it's Japanese though is because of my older daugher Jessica. She already knows how to count much higher than that. I have heard it before from her. ~Care Bear |

Another update.....
It's that time again. I know I should do this more often, but sometimes I am just not able to. Sometimes it's because I can't get on when I have everything in my head and sometimes I am just so tired that I forget what I wanted to post before I get home and am not able to remember the details of what went on. I'll share more later, but I have something from yesterday that you would really enjoy. I was laying down yesterday hoping to get a nap for work (which I ended up coming home early - but you can read all that in my LJ). Ashleigh comes in telling me about what all she did at school. "Mommy, we learned to read today!" "Oh yeah? Why don't you show me?" "Well, we really only looked at the pictures, I didn't understand any of the words." I only asked her to show me because before she would show me the pictures and either make up a story to go with it or recite the story because it has been read to her many times and she remembered it. *chuckle* I'll have to remember all the things that I said that I would like to remember to put in here, take some notes as I remember them and while I copy the notes in here, add in details as well. I'll get back to you later on what's going on. She really enjoys school though. She is so happy that she gets to go. She was so proud of herself yesterday because she didn't cry at all during the day and there were children that cried for their parents at different times during the day. She's getting to be such a big girl. I love her and would never give her up for anything. ~Care Bear |
